The Reiki process is a simple method of hands-on healing developed by Mikao Usui of Kyoto, Japan. Over two days you will learn, practice and hear the oral history of Usui Shiki Ryoho- The Usui System of Natural Healing. You will receive four initiations (or attunements) each one increasing your access to more Reiki energy. After training, Reiki energy flows through the body to the hands of the Reiki practitioner and into the cells of the person being treated. The energy normalizes body functions. It therefore helps to reestablish balance and harmony in the physical, emotional, and spiritual planes so that the natural function is restored. Reiki differs from other healing methods in that a specific initiation process is used to prepare students for the flow of healing energy. This protects them from using their own vital energy to help others, and also from absorbing any negative energetic patterns from those they are treating.

Reiki First Degree class is taught over two days from 10 am-6 pm, with an hour lunch break at 1 pm. During class you will learn to apply Reiki energy to yourself and others and sense the energy as it flows through your hands. You will be able to feel the energy of the person receiving the treatment and perceived areas of reduced vitality. Also appreciate that attitudes can create dis-ease in the mind and how the physical body can be affected.

At the end of first degree class you will have life long gift of Reiki , the knowledge and skills to use it on yourself, others and all living things.
